Teach the word
We are committed to teaching the Word of God in a way that is faithful to the overarching story of redemption. We are committed to the teachings of Jesus so that our lives look like that of Christ.

Love the world
The command to love our neighbors as well as our enemies is part of living a life like Jesus. In order to bring the message of love and reconciliation to the world, we believe that the church exists to serve the world outside its walls. We believe that caring for and meeting the needs in our communities and building relationships with people outside the church is necessary for living a life of love.

Connect the church
We don't think human beings were meant to be alone. It's very possible to live life in random meaningless connections with others, but we were created to live a life that connects with people in deeper ways for the purpose of encouraging, supporting, and serving one another. Connecting people in the church is how we live in an authentic community so that we teach each other how to live like Christ.

Why World Missions?

We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere. Our mission is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. As a part of the Church of the Nazarene, Turning Leaf Community helps support approximately 462 Career Missionaries plus 262 Mission Corps volunteers in 159 world areas.
